Anna Cardwell’s battle with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma began in January, as reported by TMZ. Despite the challenging journey, she updated her Instagram followers in May, noting the positive progress of her treatments, accompanied by a selfie alongside her husband, Eldridge Toney.
Anna Cardwell was previously known for her appearances on reality television, most notably on TLC’s ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ from 2012 to 2014, which focused on the family life of her younger sister “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. She was also a part of “Toddlers & Tiaras” from 2012 to 2013, a show on which Thompson also appeared.
Thompson, mourning the loss of her sister, shared her heartfelt emotions on Instagram, expressing the difficulty of witnessing Cardwell’s battle against the disease. She cherished the moment when Anna Cardwell waited to take her last breath until Thompson was home, acknowledging her sister’s fighting spirit and vowing to preserve her legacy.
Notably, Anna Cardwell, Thompson, and other family members joined Shannon for her wedding to Justin Stroud in February, marking a special reunion for the family. This gathering, held in Panama City, Florida, became a significant event, uniting the family after several years apart.
Survived by her husband Toney and daughters Kaitlyn Elizabeth and Kylee Madison, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell leaves behind a legacy cherished by her family and the reality television world.
